PJFC PRESIDENT’S REPORT 19 June 2015

Hello to all PJFC families

I hope everyone is freshened up after a long weekend and a day off football last Sunday! A few little bits of news for you all…

Charity Night

Each year, PJFC support 3 charities by donating the profits from our u9 Pasta, u10 Pie and u11/12 Pizza nights. The third and final night is coming up this Friday as we present:

Friday 19 June – U10 Pie and Pancake night

Now, whilst the u10s host this night, this is for the whole club to attend. Don’t make any dinner plans; bring the whole family down to the club and enjoy dinner whilst making a charitable donation! All profits from pie sales will be donated to Reclink Australia, a charitable organization whose mission is to provide sporting, social and arts activities to enhance the lives of people experiencing disadvantage. For more details visit www.reclink.org.

PJFC PRESIDENT’S REPORT 5 June 2015

Hello all,

With the long weekend ahead, it’s a quiet news week this week.

Club closed Friday, no games Sunday

All of a sudden we find ourselves at the mid-point of season 2015 and it’s time for a well-deserved rest on Sunday morning. There are no club games at all this weekend and on Friday night the club […]

PJFC PRESIDENT’S REPORT 27 May 2015

Hello to all at PJFC,

We talk about “team” and “club” a lot at PJFC; that’s what makes us a great club – a sense of belonging and community. But once in a while, we do take the opportunity to acknowledge some brilliant individual achievements.

PJFC PRESIDENT’S REPORT 20 May 2015

Hello to all PJFC parents and players,

PJFC meets MFC at the ‘G

Last week PJFC were approached by the SMJFL to partake in a joint initiative between the league and The Melbourne Football Club acknowledging the important place occupied by grass roots football clubs. We were invited to nominate 20 lucky kids (and, yes, we did target the Melbourne fans) to form part of the Guard of Honour as the Melbourne team broke through the banner at the MCG last Saturday. It’s fair to say that, whilst the Hawks got the better of the day, the PJFC crew loved every minute of being a part of standing on the hallowed turf of the ‘G close quarters with some of their heroes!

PJFC PRESIDENT’S REPORT 13 May 2015

Hello to all PJFC families,

Round 4 is behind us now and it provided a great opportunity for all our boys and girls to play proudly for their mums on Mother’s Day (apart from those who may have elected for a spot of brekky in bed and a sleep in! Well-deserved of course!).

PJFC PRESIDENT’S REPORT 6 May 2015

Hello all and 3 rounds into season 2015 I reckon the kids are nailing the Sunday routine now! Especially for the younger age groups, Sunday morning sleep ins are a thing of the past!

It was great to see there were a number of quite close games on the weekend, especially the u12 Blues who had a thrilling 2 point win at home late on Sunday. I’m sure all teams are enjoying the opportunity to improve their games and even those who are experiencing losses will keep their chins up knowing that each week they will be better teams for their efforts. Most importantly, keep having loads of fun!
