Hello to all PJFC families

For many of our teams, the season is now over – how quickly it has gone! We trust all of our kids have had loads of fun and are already looking forward to season 2016!

Parent, Supporter and Player behaviour in the finals:

While it is exciting for players, parents and supporters to attend or play in the upcoming finals, it is timely to remind everyone of the standard of behaviour expected by the Club and the League.

I would ask that at all times you observe the Club/League Codes of Conduct – particularly with regard to respecting the umpiring decisions and appropriate spectator behaviour. Tensions can be a little higher than normal so as parents, sometimes we need to take a deep breath! We all want the boys and girls to enjoy their finals experience, win, lose or draw.

Words to live by:

I had the attached placard sent to me tonight – I thought it was gold and sums up what a lot of us might not dare say, but perhaps what we should all be thinking! Thank you Rob Barber for unearthing this gem!

PJFC Presentation Day:

Finally, another reminder that Sunday August 30th is the date for the annual PJFC Presentation Day – the day we acknowledge all the wonderful efforts our children have made throughout the year. Please stay tuned for more information but do keep the day free and invite all the family, aunts, uncles, grandparents etc. It will be a great day! I hear there may be a bit of a carnival atmosphere this year so come down for the day and not just for your team’s presentation. Also, feel free to invite some friends – a great opportunity to introduce some of your mates (and of course, the kids’ mates) to our very special club!

Have a fabulous week and Go Prahran!

Regards
